Pablo Hurtado has a degree in Biotechnology from the University of Murcia, where he did the final degree project in the investigation of the functions of telomerase in the zebrafish animal model, at the Hospital Clínico Virgen de la Arrixaca. He completed the Master’s Degree in Research in Biomedical Sciences at the Complutense University of Madrid, developing his master’s degree project in microRNAs in Bladder Cancer at the Center for Energy, Environmental and Technological Research (CIEMAT). During the development of these projects, he gained experience in the management of viral vectors, molecular biology techniques, cell lines and working with mouse and zebrafish models, as well as in the detection of microRNAs by microarrays.
Pablo is a predoctoral student of the Cancer Modelling line of the Roche-CHUS Joint Unit, working under the supervision of Dr. Piñeiro in the study of the contribution of cellular heterogeneity and tumour environment to the process of cell dissemination and metastasis.
