SV Klöcher Bau Oberwart had a great chance to temporarily take the lead in the table, but failed to capitalize on their chances. The Plassnegger boys ended up drawing 1:1 in the top duel with FC Marchfeld Donauauen.
OBERWART. The SV Klöcher Construction Oberwart welcomed the second-placed team in the Informstadion on Friday evening FC Marchfeldl Donauauen. In just one minute there were several goal alarms. Twice the crossbar saved the ball and twice the ball was somehow blocked on the line – sometimes already behind it. While the Oberwart team claimed a goal, the referee team – probably rightly – took the opposite view, as the ball had not crossed the line in its full diameter. The final header was set by Simon Radostits then just over (2.).
The eleven of Gernot Plassnegger I kept the pressure on in the early stages, but was unlucky in the end. A shot from Patrick Farkas blocked (6.) and a header from Jürgen Lemmerer went just wide of the goal (8th). After that, Oberwart’s attacking spirit waned a little and the game degenerated into a midfield skirmish.
Goalless first half
It was not until the middle of the first half that the attacking formations regained some momentum. The visiting goalkeeper saved Mario Zocher with his legs against Lukas Ried (28th). Just a minute later, Lemmerer lobbed Zocher, but his ball went past the post. Then the famous Farkas missed the far corner (31st).

For the guests, it was ultimately a point won, while Oberwart is probably mourning two points because of the many scoring opportunities.
