Oakland, Calif., Aug. 29, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Today, Great Place To Work® announced its Best Workplaces in Asia™ for 2024. The list is based on confidential survey data with over 2.7 million individual responses reflecting the experiences of nearly 6.9 million workers across the region. Workers reported on their experiences with trust, innovation, company values and leadership, and these rankings are based on that feedback.
Companies are also judged on how well they create a For All™ workplace atmosphere where all employees feel included, regardless of who they are or what they do..
Companies on the 2024 list have a higher number of employees reporting positive experiences at work compared to the typical workplace in Asia. When companies build high levels of trust with their employees, they are more prepared for disruption – including the rise of generative AI.
In a market survey of more than 7,000 workers in Asia and the Middle East, Great Place To Work found that less than half of workers (49%) say their company trains them on the risks and benefits of using AI tools in the workplace, and only 46% said their employer invests in training on how to use AI tools.
However, 89% of employees at Best Workplaces™ say their company values people who try new things, 27 points higher than the 62% of employees in typical workplaces in Asia who said this.
When employees say their company celebrates people who try new things, they are 69% more likely to adapt quickly to change and 18% more likely to put in extra effort at work—both key elements of a culture where AI tools can be added quickly.
“Congratulations to Asia’s Best Employers,” said Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place To Work. “These companies prove that investing in people can lead to better business results and better outcomes for the planet.”

About the List of Best Workplaces in Asia 2024
Great Place To Work compiled the Asia’s Best Places to Work 2024 list by analyzing companies’ workplace programs and surveying over 2.7 million workers across several countries in Asia and the Middle East. The responses reflect the experiences of nearly 6.9 million workers across the region.
To be considered, companies must first be deemed outstanding in their region by appearing on one or more of our Best Workplaces lists in Bahrain, Greater China (including China, Hong Kong and Taiwan), India, Indonesia, Japan, Kuwait, Oman, the Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates or Vietnam in 2023 or early 2024.
Companies are ranked in three size categories: small and medium (50-499 employees), large (500+ employees), and multinational. Multinational organizations are also evaluated on their efforts to create great workplaces in multiple countries in the region. Multinational companies must be listed on at least two national lists in Asia and the Middle East and have at least 1,000 employees worldwide, with either 40% of the total workforce or more than 5,000 employees based outside the country of their headquarters.
