PHOENIX – Phoenix police say one officer is in critical condition and another is in stable condition after being shot Tuesday night.
According to officials, the incident occurred shortly before 7 p.m. near 16th Street and McDowell Road.
It is not known what led to the shootings.
At around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, officials confirmed that a suspect had been arrested in connection with the shooting.
Two Phoenix police officers were shot in the line of duty. One of the officers is in critical condition, the other in stable condition.
One person was arrested. The investigation is ongoing.

Aerial photographs showed several roads closed while officers searched the area for those involved.
ABC15 crews spoke to a man who said he saw one police officer perform CPR on another for several minutes.
