The audio recording of Rich Homie Quan’s girlfriend’s 911 call reveals new, shocking details about the rapper’s tragic death.
TMZ obtained a copy of the 911 call on Thursday, just hours after the Atlanta-based rapper’s girlfriend, Amber Williams, found him unconscious on the couch.
During the phone call, Williams told the operator that he had fallen asleep on the couch the night before and had not moved when she checked on him that morning.
Williams, who sounded visibly shaken, said she wrapped the “Type of Way” rapper in a blanket, assuming he was still asleep, and then left to take her son to school.
However, when she arrived home, she checked on Quan, “didn’t feel a heartbeat” and noticed he wasn’t breathing.
“When I turned him over, he was foaming at the mouth,” she said through tears.
Williams was instructed to lay the rapper flat on his back on the ground and paramedics soon arrived.
The 33-year-old, whose real name was Dequantes Devontay Lamar, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Page Six confirmed the “Ride Out” rapper’s death through the Fulton County coroner’s office and learned that his autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
His official cause of death has not been confirmed.
According to TMZ, his loved ones are “shocked and heartbroken over his sudden passing.” The outlet noted that the family is still “looking for answers” regarding his cause of death.
Quan’s last social media upload, posted on Monday, has since caused a stir online.
“Clear vision even through all the nonsense 🤫,” the rapper wrote under some photos of his performance in the green and white “89” jersey.
It is unclear what “BS” the rapper was referring to.
Thousands of his followers and friends were quick to mourn the rapper’s loss in the comments section and send their condolences to his family.
