JACKSONVILLE, Florida. – The USNS Burlington returns to Jacksonville with more than 100 mission personnel on board Thursday from a humanitarian assistance mission.
U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/US 4th Fleet announced that USNS Burlington will return to Naval Station Mayport on Thursday afternoon, August 29, at 2 p.m.
This year’s Continuing Promise 2024 visited five countries: Jamaica, Costa Rica, Honduras, Colombia and Panama. Continuing Promise 2024 is the 14th mission to the region since 2007 and the second aboard the USNS Burlington, DVIDS said.
At each stop, U.S. Navy medical personnel, Seabees, musicians, Women, Peace and Security (WPS) experts and U.S. Army veterinarians worked with the host country on patient care, knowledge sharing and joint projects, according to a press release.
