The Xbox version of the Soulslike action role-playing game Enotria: The Last Song has been postponed indefinitely.
After work on an Xbox version of Enotria: The Last Song was temporarily put on hold, only to be resumed, the Soulslike action role-playing game was supposed to be released on September 19 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
Unfortunately, Xbox players will have to wait a little longer before they can immerse themselves in the world inspired by Italian folklore. Developer Jyamma Games announced in an official statement that the Xbox version will be postponed indefinitely:
“Unfortunately, at this time we have to announce an indefinite delay of the Xbox version.”
“We understand how disappointing this news is for the Xbox community. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts and the hard work of our dedicated team, we encountered challenges that have held back our release on the Xbox platform. We want to stress that we did not make this decision lightly.”
“We apologize for any disappointment this has caused and sincerely thank you for your understanding and patience. As a self-published indie studio, your support means everything to us and we are committed to making Enotria available to as many players as possible.”
“We thank you for your continued support and understanding. We can’t wait to see you dive into the game on September 19, 2024 on PC and PlayStation 5!”
As Jyamma Games assures via its social media channels, neither the Xbox Series S nor an exclusive deal with SONY are the reason for the postponement.
In fact, according to CEO Giacomo Greco, the version for Xbox Series X|S is actually ready to launch, but Microsoft is ignoring the studio’s requests to release it via the Xbox Store.
